FAQ

Q. I want to place an order! How do we get started?
A. Let’s talk about that big day of yours! Contact me via email, phone or the form on my site and we’ll get to work! I’ll need your wedding date, stationery needs, color ideas and quantities. Most items in the shop can be customized to your needs. If ordering invitations, a 50% non-refundable deposit is due up front and you will need to sign a brief contract. Digital proofs will be available for your review and approval shortly thereafter. We’ll make any changes if needed (up to three proofs are included in the price). Once you have approved the digital proofs for print, the balance of your order will be due.
Don’t see exactly what you want? Let’s talk about a custom design tailored specifically to your needs!

Q. I want to design a custom invitation! Now what?
A. Details, information and inspiration direct from you are where we begin. The location, your dress, flowers, the feel or mood you want to convey, likes and dislikes can all help. How did you and your fiancé meet? What are your shared hobbies or interests? Details help inform and inspire the design. Visual inspiration from you is always welcomed too!

Q. How long does the process take?
A. The length of each project varies depending on the scope of your project. In general, I request 8-12 weeks for design, printing and shipping for custom invitations. Items already featured in the shop can be accommodated on a shorter time frame (2-6 weeks generally). I can be more specific once I know more about your project.

Q. What if I needed this like yesterday?
A. Rush jobs can sometimes be accommodated, but please inquire first. There is a 25 percent surcharge of your order total (excluding shipping) for rush work. Please note that these fees do not include expedited shipping. This is calculated separately based upon need.

Q. How many invitations should I order?
A. Remember to order your invitations based on the number of families and couples you’re inviting, not the total number of people. You’ll want to order a few extras as well, just in case you have some last minute guest additions, addressing errors and for keepsakes of course! It is recommended you order extra envelopes (especially when using a calligrapher).

Q. When should I mail my invitations?
A. Wedding invitations should be mailed 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding. If hosting a destination wedding or if planning to schedule your wedding over a holiday weekend, we recommend that you send your invitations 8-10 weeks in advance. Save the dates should be mailed 6-8 months prior to your wedding.

Q. What printing methods do you offer?
A. Currently Jones Street is only offering flat/digital printing, but letterpress is coming! Please inquire if interested! We use a local family-owned and operated printer here in the Atlanta area for our digital printing needs.

Q. Can I order a sample?
A. You know it! Samples are always available to purchase in the shop. Just click on the designs you like and add to your cart. We do not keep all products in stock exactly as shown, but we’ll do our best to accommodate your interests. Sorry, samples cannot be customized with your wedding information or colors, but if you have a color combo in mind ask…we might just have it!

Q. Do I get to see a proof?
A. Once payment has been received we begin work on proofs for your review. Your first proof will be emailed to you within three-to-four business days. Orders placed after 12pm EST on Friday through the weekend will be treated as Monday orders. Wedding invitations require a signed contract and deposit prior to starting the design process. Three emailed proofs are included with every order, so we can make it look just right! Each additional proof after the three PDF proofs will be billed at $10 each.

Please – carefully – review your design files during every step of the design process. Once final proof approval is given, we will begin printing your order. Jones Street Press is not responsible for errors not found during the proofing process and any reprints will be at the client’s expense.

A few tips:
• Have you received proofs for all stationery items in your order?
• Are all the fonts correct?
• Are all the ink colors correct?
• Is the text spaced properly?
• Is the alignment correct?
• Double check all dates, names, addresses, times, telephone numbers, etc.
• Double check all spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Errors on the final product that match the final proof approval are the full responsibility of the client. No exceptions.

Q. Why do the colors of my proof look slightly different on my phone or computer?
A. All computer monitors, phones, and tablets display colors slightly differently. I cannot guarantee an exact match to your screen. If you are concerned with color I recommend ordering a printed proof. Please email me to discuss. Refunds will not be granted for color variations between online proofs and the printed product.

Q. Are there menus, ceremony programs, etc. to match my design?
A. Although items like menus, programs, table numbers, etc. may not be pictured, we’re happy to create them for you to match other items in the shop at no additional charge.

Q. Can I change colors, fonts, etc.?
A. Of course! Colors, fonts and wording may be changed in any of the designs from Jones Street Press at no additional cost.

Q. How much is my order going to cost?
A. Most items in the shop are priced per piece unless noted. You will see “set of” if more than one is included in the price shown. For custom work, prices vary depending on many factors including number of pieces, embellishments such as ribbons, belly bands or envelope liners, etc. Given that Jones Street Press is a small shop, I am only able to take a limited number of custom invitation projects per year. Please inquire early.

Q. OMG! I love your stuff but I’m on a budget.
A. I feel ya! At Jones Street we pride ourselves on the amount of time, effort and skill it takes to create beautiful stationery. In order to keep quality high, discounts are unavailable, but I am always happy to discuss creative options to keep your project within budget.

Q. Do you accept international orders?
A. Yes we do! Jones Street has been fortunate enough to work with clients far and wide from locations including Australia, Great Britain, Belgium, Dubai and Germany…to name just a few. We are happy to ship anywhere in the world, but please note you are responsible for any duties and taxes associated with shipping.

Q. What types of payment do you accept?
A. Jones Street Press gladly accepts personal checks and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) via Etsy Direct Checkout or PayPal.

Q. How much will shipping cost?
A. U.S. Orders:
All orders (with the exception of wedding invitations) are shipped via USPS Priority Mail with tracking. Shipping will be calculated once the size of the order has been determined. Wedding invitation orders are shipped via UPS or FedEx with full insurance in case of loss or damage and arrive within 2-7 business days. Because shipping prices vary depending on the weight of your order and your location, we do our best to accurately estimate cost. All shipping overages of more than $2 will be refunded. Expedited shipping is always available!

International Orders:
Shipping prices and times for international orders vary depending on the weight of your order and your location. UPS or FedEx are recommended. Expedited shipping is always available!

Q. Do I have to pay Sales Tax?
A. All orders shipped within Georgia will be charged sales tax (7%).

Q. Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
A. Because your order is customized for you and your event, all orders are final. Refunds will not be granted for color variations between online proofs and the printed product, or errors of any kind matching the final proof approval.

Q. Do you work on the weekends?
A. Occasionally you may receive proofs or emails from me during the weekend, but I try not to make a habit of it. I work… A LOT … but I try to reserve weekends for family time. I have two amazing, beautiful, energy-draining, time and sleep vampires I adore! No really, they might be vampires as they do not believe in sleeping. My days and nights are filled with…diapers, snacks, tickles, tantrums, potty training, spills, hugs, boo boos and a lot of laundry. Everyone tells me kids grow up so fast and Lord knows I don’t want to miss it. Just like you like your weekends to chill out, hit Target, shop online, sleep, stalk people via Facebook, whatever (I’m not judging), please understand I do the same. Your order is very important to me! You are all so awesome to work with. I promise I won’t forget about you.
